I booked this hotel for a night based on the other reviews here. Quite disappointed in this choice. The hotel dates back to the 60's or 70's and is a standard exterior entrance cinder block motel in clean but only fair condition. Beds were lumpy, pillows soft, the area is not the best either. The one good thing is the Santa Cruz diner which is a couple of hundred yards to the right as you exit the hotel. Awesome diner!! The hotel is clean...but even the breakfast fare was limited and the coffee was like water.

Get away weekend stay . Motel was clean, staff friendly, very nice Santa Cruz Diner just down the street, very good food, good price , convenient to where our motel was at . Not walking distance to downtown or to the beach . Big savings on booking through travelocity as compared to walking in off the street .

I selected this hotel based on the reviews and I was not disappointed. The rooms were clean and surprisely quiet despite being so close to the street. The hotel was close to the boardwalk. The continental breakfast had a variety of options including make your own waffles which were great. The rooms also had a refrigerator and microwave so we did not have to eat out. The room did look a little worn, but I expected that for what we paid. The only concern I had was the security of the location. It looked like it was in an older part of town. The neighboring complex looked run down, but the other hotels didn't seem to have it any better. I just know I wouldn't have wanted to stay there alone. Overall, I would definately recommend this hotel. It is a great bargain for the money.
